I had the check engine light come on and off intermintintly and RPMS drop to below 500 at a stop. The Chevy dealer checked the head and and said all 4 cylenders were leaking do to bad intake valve seats, ( I received the letter on the problem from Chevy). They ordered parts and I dropped it off on a Monday at 8am, they called Tue ay 10:15 am and said it was done. Two days later the check engine light is popping on and off again and RPMS drop below 500. Now they want me to pay $78 an hour to check it again, what could have happened?

What was the code?I would go to autozone have it scanned and see what code, then see what code the dealer came up with and if the codes are the same I would take it back and tell them they did not fix it and your not paying anything. If it's a different code this vehicle might have had 2 different problems, which means your on your own. Post back with the code(s). Will advise from there.

I took this to a friends garage, the code was originaly P0300, now it is showing code P0017. He told me it has something to do with the cams. He thinks they did something wrong putting it back together. I took it back to the Chevy dealer they think it could be the timing chain tensioner. Looks like they might want to charge me for repairs, I havent heard back from them yet.
