2004 Chevy Colorado Four Wheel Drive Automatic

hello I have a 2004 chevy colorado inline 5 when backing up it sometimes cuts off and sometimes when im driving it sees like its about to cut off I just got back from afghanistan and my wife had services done to it while I was gone. Thank you

Sounds like the idle air control on the throttle body, or a serious vacuum leak. Is the service engine light on?
