Engine Performance problem
2008 Chevy Cobalt 4 cyl 3000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My dealership put too much oil and they called to get the oil level checked. This was my first oil change since my car has only 3000 miles on it. I drove the car from the dealership and then back a total of 3 miles with the excess oil. My question is could the excess oil damage my car? If yes, what should I be looking for? What should I have had the dealership do to double check for any damage?

Too much oil can damage an engine! But just a little over won't...if way too much was put in, you would not get 3 miles before the engine is destroyed...
