2008 Chevy Cobalt no power steering

i had driven a few miles, then made a left turn, was very hard to turn steering wheel. then i noticed on dash where info is it just said"power steering" pulled over put in park waited a few minutes then pulled away, its hard to turn but easier , whats the cause??

have the power steering control module scanned for codes,most common cause is the steering column,there is normally an internal motor problem.post back with any other questions.
