2007 Chevy Cobalt 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 2007 chevy cobalt LS and I am having problems passing state emission test. At first i was getting codes for a large evap leak. after i cleared that code I am now getting a high purge flow trouble code and it sounds like the purge solenoid is making a knocking noise when i start the car. It also becomes difficult to start after i add fuel to the gas tank. Could this be a faulty purge solenoid?

Do you have the 2.2 or the 2.4L engine?Also what is the code number your car is setting?Let me know so i can help you out.
