raining and my wipers stopped?

it was raining and my wipers stopped but you can hear the motor still working and the fuse is fine don't know how to fix it any suggestions

Hello,

This can be due to either the wiper arms are stripped out or the gear that connects the wiper to the motor (wiper transmission) is damaged.
You will have to inspect the base of the wiper arm and make sure that the splines are not stripped on the arm or the shaft on the base.

I have included the diagrams for the arms as well as the wiper transmission for your reference.
