Noises problem
2006 Chevy Cobalt Automatic 66,000 miles
Within the last week my Cobalt has been squeaking on acceleration. It doesn't matter if it's hot or cooler, whether I accelerate faster or slower.

Start by inspecting the serpintine belt, look for cracks worn spots. If OK, try this:
Raise car, put on stands. Grasp tire and push/pull both horizontally and vertically, if any movement then possible wheel bearing, ball joint, tie rod, control arm bushing.
Check CV boots for any signs of leakage or cuts/rips in rubber boot

I actually took it in to my local dealership/service center and was it was my brakes- because it's been so humid lately the magnesium in the brakes rub and make that squeaking sound. Apparently, a lot of people in my area are having the same issue because of the humidity.
