2006 Chevy Cobalt sqeeking noise

I recently heard a sqeeling noise that was coming from my front drivers side wheel. Just recently the noise has gotten worse. It a higher pitched noise and now it's making noise when I turn. As far as I know the brakes are ok.

How do you know the brakes are OK??? Does the noise get louder as the speed increases???

If so, then it's probably your hub.
