I was recently in an accident and didn't know thw radiator was leaking. The car overheated and then just shut down. When this model gets at a certain temperature does the car shut down automatically before it gets to hot or is my engine fried. It wont turn over and makes a weird sound. Also the engine light stays on. Could the engine be salvagable?

cars dont shut down at a certain temperature, you probably warped your heads due to the heat and they will need to be re machined.
