2005 Chevy Cobalt Engine Not reaching temp

recently i had to replace the thermostat and engine coolant temp sensor. and i know cobalts usually run somewhere around 180-190's and yet mine only makes it to around 145, the check engine light keeps coming on and giving me the temp is below thermostat temp code,. any idea what could be causing this?

sounds like u need to check ur thermostat that code ur getting is for a bad thermostate maybe its bad or in wrong.hope this helps let me know how it goes.
