when the outside tempeture gets below 40 the truck will start and die several times before it will stay running, ive checked the fuel pressure and it is fine,i bought a coolant tank heater and that helped for a awhile so i replaced the fuel pressure regulator still have the same problem

Check/replace the ECT(engine coolant temp) sensor, if you post the engine size, I can tell you were it is, but most are on the side of the drivers side head, between last 2 plugs.
