1996 Chevy Cheyenne

My service engine soon light came on after the truck was idleing for approx. 30 minutes. I went to a local auto part store and they checked it. On their monitor, it said, TDC. I wasn't sure what I could do to repair this problem and was seeking your advice. Thanks for your help!
