Noises problem
1993 Chevy Cheyenne 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Yesterday when I turned off my ignition, I heard a knocking noise for a few seconds. It seemed to be coming from under the dash toward the passenger side. Same thing when I cranked up this morning. Again it only lasted a few seconds. When I returned home and turned off the truck the knocking resumed for a few seconds then stopped. It is pretty loud. Otherwise the truck runs great. Any ideas?

try checking the torque converter bolts. they sometimes loosen and will give the knock noise you hear. Use blue loctite on the bolts or nuts before you tighten them.
