Transmission problem
1991 Chevy Cheyenne 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200+ miles

Can u tell me what transmissions are compatible with a 700R4 that is bolted up to a 4.3L engine in a 1991 Chevy Cheyenne 1500 pickup? Also would like to know if there are any other transmissions that would hook in to my 4.3L and what years and makes and models of vehicles would be compatible with it?

another 700r4 and a thm350 would work too. but you would have to do some crossmember work and would lose overdrive. As long as it's a rear wheel drive trans from any checy should work.
