Brakes problem
1989 Chevy Cheyenne V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1989 1500 full size P/U truck. I replaced the break light switch and they still stay on. What else do I need to check or replace? Could it be in the wiring? They worked fine a couple of weeks ago.

My wiring info is slim for your year. The orange wire carries voltage to the brake switch, the white wire at the switch only goes hot when you step on the brake. That circuit goes to the turn switch. The lower brake lites and turn signal use the same circuit, not at the same time.
