1974 Chevy Cheyenne V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100+ miles

I was pulling out my driveway and by accident I shifted into reverse! The truck stalled out ! I had power at 1st and the starter would try n turn the engine over, but it had above average friction! I tried and start it a couple times and all my power went away? Is it my ignition switch? I think if might be a safety mechanism in the transmission, or could it be my starter?
Where should I start my diagnosis?

The way it happened, it doesn't sound like any of the items mentioned. If you were going slow and the engine shut down, it should be fine. As far as the starter, make sure the battery is good. You may want to have it load tested to be sure it can handle the load from the battery.

Let me know if it's good and we'll go from there.
