1972 Chevy Chevelle Trunk lock

You need the trunk open to do this . there is a black spring clip that slides over the lock and keeps it in place. the lock should only fit in one way and the rod should just fit into the lock mechanism itself. You will see the slot on the trunk lock(key partthat goes into trunk.)
