1970 Chevy Chevelle V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

I RECENTLY INSTALLED A REBUILT 1973, 454 ENGINE. IT HAS LESS THAN 2,000 MILES AND IS USING ABOUT 1 QT OF OIL EVERY 300 MLES. IT DOES NOT SMOKE OR LEAK. I INSTALLED E3 PLUGS AND AN ELECTRONIC IGNITION. ENGINE RUNS GOOD OTHERWISE.

That is quite a lot of oil. In theory there is really no place else for the oil to go. If it is not leaking then it has to be burning off. Thats the only two ways for it to get out of the engine once it is in there. It shouldn't make its way into the cooling water.
