I have a 1969 remanufactured long (small block). It's in a 1933 Ford kit car. I want to change the upper radiator hose. Can I do this without disrupting the thermostat?

yes you can do this without disrupting the thermostat. Just drain some of thewater down before you pull the hose so it doesn't go all over.
