The speaker has disintigrated. In trying to remove it, I have removed the radio, glove compartment, air duct, and still can not get it out.

Do I have to remove the dash?

If so how do I do it--the top seems to be welded in. The vinal covered pad seems to be removable but I don't think the speaker would fit though the space.

Any suggestions?

your might have to pull the top of the dash off to remove it. there should be screws in the defroster slots and the other screws will be like in the top of the gauge panel and a few more accross then the top should come off and the speaker may come with it....
