I have a 1989 Celebrity 159800 miles 2.8 liter
ok so sometimes not all the time I go to start it and nothing. I get dashboard lights but nothing else, then I have to disconnect the possitive cable to battery and leave it off for about 20 min then it will start, however just today it did it again then when I finally ogt it started it stalled twice.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

96 Ford Mustang, 4L, over 100,000 miles. Asked the question of why it would be stuck in Park and you sent me information on brake light switch. My husband wants to know where this brake light switch might be located. The brakes do not work either, we went outside and checked after reading the previous answer. Still could not get the car out of park by turning the key into the off position instead of the lock position and putting the car in neutral.

It was not blown - the fuse. We are going to change out the brake switch tomorrow and see if that fixes the problem.
