1990 Chevy Celebrity Ignition coil

I have a problem that I think is in the ignition coil I am getting fire and gas and engine is cranking good but my car won't start, I think the spark is not strong enough. What I need to know if what kind of ignition system I have is that a direct ignition system or something else. Thank you please reply
