I put the car in drive, 1, 2, or Reverse and something rattles in the engine compartment and it sounds like a peice of plastic rattling at a low rpm. I put the car on jack stands and put it in Drive and I can't find anything loose. It runs and drives great except for the fact that if I drive in the city, usually 35 mph, I have to put it into 2 or it rattles. And it rattles when I am stopped. I wanted to find out if this is a common problem with the early Hydra-Matic transmissions.
