Electrical problem
1989 Chevy Celebrity 6 cyl Automatic 120000 miles

Car goes exceptionally well. My student niece left lights on last week and we had to jump start. Last night the headlights progressively dimmed and the car eventually just 'petered' out! Could it be battery replacement time? Do not know how old battery is.

Maybe battery time but it looks like alternator time. Check it out
