1988 Chevy Celebrity fuel tank pressure

1988 Chevy Celebrity 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive

what would cause alot of pressure to build up in the gas tank? When you remove the gas cap to fill alot of pressure releases, trying to push out on the cap, but alot of fuel vapors come out also.

a plugged vapor system or a plugged vent line to the tank. It may have some pressure when you take the cap off.
