1987 Chevy Celebrity Steering column

Hi, I bought this car used about 6 months ago and when I bought the steering wheel would wiggle up and down and also side to side. Today on my way to school rite when I got to the end of the road the steering locked up on me. I could not turn it at all so I went reverse all the way home. Also when I left for school the power would not go off and when I turned the steering whell sightly to the left the car would start without the key in it so I had to unhook the negitive on the battery. When I got home today the steering actual freed up a little and I put it in neutral and got it in the garage. I got a steering wheel puller and got the wheel off and know am trying to get the column off but am stuck. I cant figure out how to get the column off. Any ideas?
