Engine Cooling problem
1986 Chevy Celebrity 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

while the car is running for a little while it starts to smoke by the radiator hose and the cooling fan does not come on. radiator is full and i don,t see any leaks. my next step was going to check the fuses. and also start the car with the radiator cap off to see if i have water flow.

Hi, if you unplug the coolant temp sensor, does the fan take off? On some makes when you turn on the ac, the fan takes off. You can take connector loose from fan, use jumper wires from battery for B+ and ground, use an inline fuse on the jumper, If it won't run, I think the fan motor is faulty. At the connector, ground is black, the other color is voltage. Any codes?
