1997 Cavalier, 117,000 miles 2.2L automatic Car will start ok but if I don't get in gear and drive quick enough it will die. If I get it going I could drive forever with no problem but when I get to a stoplight and make a complete stop it will die. It makes no noises like when an engines dies, it just does. When I bought the car last year it needed something called an EGR valve but I never had any problems so I didn't replace it. Had the engine light read and it said that again and something about an Idle air control. Which one of these will make the car die? The Autozone guy said the later and somebody else says the EGR valve.
