brakes

1997 cavalier: 86000 miles: automatic: front wheel
driive:
The brakes are grinding.I would like to replace
the pads myself.Never replaced before.
How do I do it and what do I need to do.

Well, I would suggest having a friend give you hand doing a brake job, Least then nothing is going to be left out, U gonna need a socket set, flat head screw driver, Also a C clamp tool,

Then for parts: Front brake pads, Also U will need to have the brake rotors inspected, Any grooves or metal to metal scratches in the rotor Needs to be replaced, Even if only one rotor has it and the other doesnt, Both rotors have to be replaced at the same time.
