ABS brake indicator light

I have a i993 chev cavalier I recently replaced the driver side axle it was done by a mechanic the axle was second hand my abs indicator light comes on while im driving not at a low speed but a higher oneplus the gear on the end of the cv joint ws a bit distorted does it have to be cleaned or is it a loose connection
