2005 Chevy Cavalier squealing

every time i apply my brakes they squeal really loud... i have been told that my self adjuster doesnt work... how do i fix this problem without it costing too much???

I would start by removing front and rear wheels and rear drums and clean with brake clean.

You may have contamination on drum/disc surface.

I would also remove rear adjusters and clean and lubricate them.
