2005 Chevy Cavalier squealing

Every time I apply my brakes they squeal really loud. I have been told that my self adjuster doesnt work. How do I fix this problem without it costing too much?

I would start by removing front and rear wheels and rear drums and clean with brake clean.

You may have contamination on drum/disc surface.

I would also remove rear adjusters and clean and lubricate them.
