Fuel smell

After filling with gas, not topped off, and doing a few errands, I came home ate dinner and then left shortly after. I started the car and smelled gas very strong coming from under hood. When I popped the hood, I noticed fuel coming from the injector area. What will cause fuel to leak out around the injectors?

More than likely this is a sticking purge valve. The purge is in the general area of the injectors so I suspect it is hanging open and allowing fuel vapor into the intake when it should be shut off.

Take a look at the info below but I would suggest replacing the purge if this happened after filling the tank as the vapor smell will be stronger after filling. If the purge is stuck then you are filling the intake with this vapor from the tank.

Please run through this and let us know if you have questions. Thanks
