2004 Chevy Cavalier dash gauges

the dash gauges do not work. when you first crank the car the temp and rpm gauge will move a little but then nothing. what could be causing this?

Check the fuses first, If Ok then you will probably have to remove the IP and check for any open circuits/loose connectors.
