I was told that I need a tran pan gasket and that it would cost $170.00, I thought the pan gasket was included in the price of when I get regular transmisson service. When all the fluids are changed.

It depends if the filter was changed, the fluid may have just been flushed, in which case the gasket is not changed. Some gaskets for the transmission are re-usable and the gasket may not have been replaced if the filter was changed. I would try to re-torque the bolts first and make sure the fluid is not overfull.
