I was just driving and noticed that my rpm gauge was pegged over on 7, in fifth gear, going around 50. But the speed and sound didnt match the reading. It normally sits anywhere between 2 and 4 depending on how fast im going. When I slowed down, I could hear the rpm's go down normally, so I know its strictly a reading or gauge issue. But when I turn the car off, the rpm needle is now resting all the way over on 8.... is there any thing I can do to reset the gauge?
