2003 Chevy Cavalier fuel pump testing

my daughters 2003 chevy cavalier wont start she drove it this morning and it started just fine. now it is the afternoon and it wont start. i turned on the key and i dont hear the fuel pump. im wondering if the fuel pump is bad. i swaped relays with the a/c relay and it still didnt start the a/c relay and the fuel pump relay are the same relays i wondering if the is a simple way to check to see if the fuel pump is in fact bad before i go through the trouble of replacing it

Power the gray wire at the fuel pump connector from the battery positive positive this will turn it on if the ground black wire is good on rear of engine G110
