Over the winter I went into the ditch and snow blocked the fan from moving I did not realize this right away, and I think the fan motor burnt out. The fan will work for a couple minutes when I change the fuse under the hood, but the fuse continues to blow and the check engine light comes back on. You can only drive for about a minute or two before the fuse will blow again.

what is the check engine light code showing?

sounds like the motor may be shorting out or its related to the temperature switch.
