I was driving the car, and my belts started squealing and as soon as that happened the heat gauge went up a little bit. I parked the car and looked under the hood with the engine still running, and the overflow tank was empty. Obviously, the belts were squealing due to antifreeze being on them. I drove it home (10 miles) and the temp gauge didn't move up anymore. The only problem was there was no heat. When I got home I put water in it, made sure it was full by letting it run and getting the air pockets out. When I got it full, it wasn't heating, and was running fine. I then turned the heater on. Still no heat, and then it started blowing water out of the overflow. My first thought was the heater core, but I have never seen a change in pressure due to a blocked heater core. Could it possibly be a head gasket?
