I bought a new fuel pump, however we are not sure where it is located. There is a fuel pump sized box between my tank and the axle, is this where i open it to replace the fuel pump? Or is the fuel pump inside of the tank? If it is in the tank do I need to lower the tank in order to replace the pump?

Yes, the pump is in the tank. Drain the tank then lower.
