2002 Chevy Cavalier Blower motor

The fan only works on high, I have read that it's probably the motor resistor. If this is in fact the case can you tell me where it would be located and how to remove it.

it is the blower resistor. it is located on the passenger side in the lower part of the HVAC box. it is right at the edge of the carpet. there is about 5 to 6 wires going to it
