Engine Cooling problem
2002 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive 132K miles

My motor was blown due to a coolant leak which I didn't know about until it was too late. Even though there appeared to be coolant in the reservoir, it was not getting into the engine.
Originally, I'd thought the problem was a thermostat or water pump but that has been ruled out.
A new (used) motor has been installed on the car and it has been checked for leaks, but now several weeks later, the leaky coolant is happening again.

Where could it be leaking from? I can't seem to locate it. Any experience with this type problem?

Perform a compression test on the new engine to eliminate any head gasket issue, if OK then perform a pressure test on the cooling system and flush the entire cooling system. If pressure test indicates a leak (will not hold pressure) you have leak somewhere.

I would also replace the waterpump and thermostat as insurance.
