2002 Chevy Cavalier Anti Theft

2002 Chevy Cavalier Manual

We had to buy a new ignition for my 2002 Chevy Cavalier, we installed it and now it wont start. He turns over but it will not start and the anti theft light wont turn off, so we were wondering if this has anything to do with it and if you could help me figure out how to fix it. Thank you so much

If you replaced the ignition switch, the computer doesn't recognize it and thinks someone is trying to steal the vehicle. I hate to say it but you need to have a dealer reset the computer to accept the new switch and key. A dealer is the only one that has the proper equipment to do it.
