2002 Chevy Cavalier 02 Chevy Cavalier possible transmission

I have a 2002 chevy Cavailer they put a new gas fliter and fuel pump in my car. The car sometimes whines when its trying to shift. We took out the battery and replaced it after 10mins to see if it reset the computer.It hasn't done it as of yet but I'm worried it may do it again is there any suggestions at what it could be. There is no fluids leaking.

Check fluid level in transmission. The PCM controls engine and trans.

If you have a check engine light on, have codes read at some autoparts stores for free.
