I have a 2001 cavalier Z24 with a bad 2.4 L 4 cylinder motor. Is it possible to replace the 2.4 L with a 2.2 L
motor, will the 2.2L bolt up to the existing transmission?

The 2.2 was standard engine, but the wiring harness is different, try to find a used 2.4 at a junkyard.
