Suspension problem
2001 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have all of my bolts removed and even started pulling the assembly out of the axle, but it has stopped coming out. It seems like the rubber boot (?) and metal gear (?) looking assembly behind it is connected to it in some way. But, everything that I have read says that it should pull straight out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Should come out. You can rent a slide hammer at most autoparts stores that bolts to studs, and will make it a lot easier.
