How to Replace the Alternator on a 2001 Chevy Cavalier? Actually, i have the alternator off,but when putting the new one. How do i make the belt loose enough to fit on the pulley on the Alternator?

Hi, You have to release the tension on the tensioner. Maybe I'm missing the point? There should be a cavity in the tensioner, it may take a 3/8 drive in the cavity, then you pull on the tensioner, to release tension on the belt. The picture is from autozone. I'm not positive about the drive size?
