Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Automatic

i have a 01 cavalier and it died on me. i got a jump but the battery was so dead it took awhil. the guy who jumped the car didn't ground one of the wires and the theft system light came on. i made it home and tried it again but the battery was so dead i had to replace it. but now the car would start for a few seconds and shut back off. i replaced the fuel pump because it was bad but now now the car stil won't start. i called in a professional and he told me it was the body control module but wen someone checked it it was ok. none of the fuses are blown and with every few cranks the theft light blinks and won't even turn over. Pls help!

If you think the problem is the theft system and it cranks ok, you might try the learn procedure.
