2000 Chevy Cavalier rearwindow defogger

well the first thing you need to do is check and see if you have power going to the rear window one side of the grid is positive the other is ground you need to know which side is not working if there is no power you have to make sure that the rear defogger fuse is getting power that the switch is getting power and there should be a relay you need to know if it is getting power you also need to check the resistance across the rear grid unplug both connectors and use an ohm meter to make sure that the grid is not burnt out
