Engine Mechanical problem
2000 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The grommet on the oil filler tube of my car is cracked in two, and I bought a new one through the local Chevy dealership. Is there anything special I need to do to install the new one? I've researched the internet and can't find anything at all on the subject. Do I need any kind of sealant for the grommet? Or do I just take the old one out and put the new one back in? Should I cover the grommet in oil so it doesn't dry and crack? Sorry for all the questions, I just can't find anything at all on the subject and I am not too mechanically inclined.
